Hand-poured, carefully packed, and on its way to you. Here's exactly what to expect from order to doorstep — and how returns work if something isn't quite right.
Shipping
Every Sands of Scent order is hand-poured and packed in small batches in New York. Orders are typically processed within 1–3 business days and ship via tracked carriers across the United States.
- Standard shipping: 3–7 business days after processing.
- Order confirmation: you'll receive an email when your order ships, with a tracking link.
- Address changes: contact us within 24 hours of ordering and we'll do our best to update it before fulfillment.
Once a parcel leaves our studio, delivery timelines are in the carrier's hands. We'll help track it down if anything goes missing.
Returns & Exchanges
We stand behind every candle we pour. If your order arrives damaged or you're not in love with it, you can request a return within 7 days of receiving your order.
- Items must be unused, unburned, and in original packaging.
- Damaged-in-transit items qualify for a free replacement — please send a photo within 7 days of delivery.
- Sale items, gift sets, and custom orders are final sale.
- Return shipping is the customer's responsibility unless the item arrived damaged or defective.
To start a return, send us a message through our contact form with your order number and a quick note about the item. We'll send return instructions and process your refund to the original payment method within 5–7 business days of receiving the candle back.
Lost or stolen packages
Once a package is marked delivered, we can't replace lost or stolen orders. We're happy to help you file a claim with the carrier — reach out and we'll guide you through it.
